Some thoughts on what you might want to share.
Raw Over Refined
The success of this project depends on immediate, authentic communication—not flawless execution. Give yourself permission to skip the editing phase and just get your thoughts out there. Refined will be a stumbling block to getting the necessary content into this group chat.
Root It in Real Life
Whenever possible, connect what you share directly to your real-world experiences at work. If you come across an inspiring idea from a book or podcast, don't just share the concept—tie it to how you've actually lived it out in your job. Alternatively, share where you're currently struggling to apply that idea and the specific obstacles you're facing.
Privacy Is No Problem
If you're hesitant to share a particular experience because it feels too private, communicate to me directly and I will modify what you've shared for group consumption. I will get your approval before sharing with the group. Feel free to share without worrying about how it will land with the group—let me handle that.
New Topic or Comment on an Existing Thread?
A key feature of Reddit is the ability to keep different conversation topics in separate threads. Before you post, take a moment to decide where your contribution belongs:
- Start a new thread when you are introducing a fresh experience, question, or theme that is not already part of an ongoing conversation. New threads become their own topic that others can then respond to.
- Comment on an existing thread when your thought directly relates to, builds on, or responds to something already posted in that topic. This keeps related discussion together and makes the conversation easier to follow.
When in doubt, ask yourself: "Does this stand on its own, or am I replying to what someone else shared?" If it is a reply, find the matching thread and comment there rather than starting a new one.
